Please note - Ndiyo has now officially closed its doors, at least as a legal entity - but we've kept the site alive in case any of the information is useful to others.

Our thanks to all those who helped out and were involved in so many different ways! The Ndiyo legacy lives on in the ultra-thin-client work at its spin-off DisplayLink, at Plugable, at NoPC and elsewhere...

Hubster FAQ

Questions and answers about the Hubster project

Can I get it?

Not in any convenient form, no, though if you're feeling adventurous, you could try building something using VNC2DL and ev2vnc.

Please get in touch with us if this is important to your plans, though, and you might be interested in sponsoring its further development.

What's the performance like?

Very impressive, even on our early prototypes. New: We now have a video clip showing a Hubster prototype in operation.

How is this work funded?

At present, Ndiyo is a very small organisation supported entirely by generous donations from individuals. If you are interested in helping support this or any other aspect of our work, please let us know.

Can I create my own Hubster-type system?

Certainly, yes. We do have some patents pending on certain aspects of the Hubster concept, but we intend to license this openly at least for non-profit, non-commercial and personal use. If you wish to create a commercial Hubster-type offering, or would like us to do so on your behalf, please contact us for more information.
